THE FILM
We can study God. We can talk, debate, and wrestle with who He is—or have no interest at all.But to encounter God—to experience His presence, to feel His love—that is something different.God of Love is a film about encounter. It's about what happens when a person is drawn into the presence of God, and how they respond. The story takes place at a desert monastery, where a young man sees what he’s never seen before: a man in the presence of God. And what begins as curiosity grows into something more—a direct experience of his own. What happens on screen is powerful. But what happens in seats—even more so. Our greatest hope is that audiences not only witness encounter, but they experience it themselves. That is the heart behind God of Love.God of Love will be filmed on location and in studio in Scottsdale, Arizona.
ISSACHAR FILMS
“We are very close to a spiritual tipping point in history, and to go where we need to go, we need a direct encounter with the life of God.”
— Russell M. Stendal
Elijah & Elisha: The Mantle for God’s PeopleIn the Bible, the men of Issachar were known for understanding the times—and for knowing what to do. Issachar Films takes its name from that calling. We seek to discern the times, and to create films that speak to present needs. With God of Love, we believe there is a present need: not only to understand God, but to experience Him. Directly. For ourselves.
